Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 13, 2026
We will never sell, rent, or trade subscriber information or email addresses to anyone.
Fauquier DIY (fauquierdiy.com) is operated by Secure By Design LLC. This page explains, in plain language, what information the site collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Your email address, only if you sign up for the newsletter. The signup form on this site asks for your email address and nothing else. When you submit it, it is sent directly to our email provider, MailerLite.
- Basic technical information our host sees. Like nearly every website, the servers that deliver this site receive standard request details (such as your IP address, browser type, and the page requested) in order to serve pages and keep the site secure.
We do not ask for your name, phone number, home address, or payment information.
Cookies, analytics, and tracking
- No ads, no tracking pixels, no affiliate links. We don't run advertising or social media tracking pixels, and we don't use affiliate links.
- No cookies set by this site. The site does not set cookies for tracking or advertising.
- Analytics. The site does not currently run any analytics. If we ever turn it on, we will only use a cookie-free, privacy-focused tool (Plausible) that does not use cookies or build profiles of individual visitors, and we will update this page.
- Offline support. Your browser may save copies of pages you visit on your own device so the site can load when you're offline. That copy stays on your device and is not sent to us.
How we use your information
We use your email address only to send you the Fauquier DIY newsletter you asked for. Signup uses double opt-in: after you submit the form, MailerLite sends you a confirmation email, and you are not added to the list until you click to confirm.
Unsubscribe any time
Every newsletter email includes an unsubscribe link. Click it and you're off the list, no questions asked. You can also write to us at the mailing address below to ask that your email address be removed.
Third-party service providers
We use a small number of service providers to run the site. They handle data on our behalf, under their own privacy policies:
- MailerLite stores the newsletter subscriber list and sends the emails. See MailerLite's privacy policy.
- Vercel hosts the website and serves its pages. See Vercel's privacy policy.
We share information with these providers only as needed to run the site and newsletter. We may also disclose information if required by law.
Children under 13
This site is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has signed up for the newsletter, contact us and we will remove the address.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the updated version on this page and change the effective date above.
